These terms are between Jashchar Private Limited (CIN U74209KA2025PTC197275), which runs Jashchar ("we", "us"), and the school, college or trust that signs up for Jashchar at jashchar.com ("you"). They also apply to the staff, parents and students who use accounts that you create. By signing up or using the service you accept them.

1. The service

Jashchar is an online school management system: admissions, fees, attendance, examinations, timetable, transport, hostel, staff and payroll, and messages to parents and staff. It runs in a web browser and in the Jashchar app. The modules you can use depend on your plan.

2. Accounts and sign-in

  • People sign in with their mobile number and a password or a one-time code.
  • You decide who gets an account in your school and what each role may do. You are responsible for the accounts you create and for keeping your school's information correct.
  • Tell us at once if you think an account has been misused.

3. Free trial, plans and payment

  • A new school can use Jashchar free for 30 days to try it. No payment is needed for the trial.
  • After the trial you choose a plan. Plans and prices are shown on our website and in your panel. A per-student plan is charged on the number of active students when you pay, with the minimum shown on the plan.
  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR), plus taxes where they apply. You pay in advance for a month or a year, online through our payment partner Razorpay. We do not charge your card or account automatically.
  • If a plan is not renewed by its end date, the school can still use the panel for a grace period of 7 days; after that, access is limited until the plan is renewed.
  • WhatsApp and SMS messages are paid from your school's Communication Wallet at the rates shown in the panel.

4. Your school's data

  • The records you enter (students, staff, fees, marks and the rest) belong to your school. We use them only to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell them.
  • Data is kept on servers in India and backed up every day.
  • You must have the right to enter the data you put in (for example, parents' consent where the law asks for it).

5. Fair use

Use the service only for running your institution and only within the law. Do not try to get into data that is not yours, break or overload the service, or send messages people did not ask for (spam). We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability

We work to keep the service running at all times and give notice of planned maintenance when we can. We cannot promise that it will never be interrupted, for example when a hosting, internet, WhatsApp or SMS provider fails.

7. Ending

  • You can stop at any time by not renewing your plan, or by writing to us.
  • We may suspend or end the service for non-payment or for misuse, after telling you.
  • After your plan ends we keep your school's data for 90 days, so you can download it or come back. After that it is deleted.
  • Payments are not refunded except as set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount your school paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version is posted on this page with its date, and we tell schools about important changes in the panel or on WhatsApp. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

10. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
